Hey guys,

I recently published an article on TheOdyssey.com. I’d love if you’d go take a look and tell me what you think. If you watched Golden Age Disney Channel (2000-2008), then this article is a must read for you!!! https://www.theodysseyonline.com/thats-so-raven-spin-off

Sending Peace, Love and Faith your way

Sincerely,

Nathel Kayy

It’s Offically unofficial, there’s going to be a Princess Diaries 3!!!

Everyone loves seeing their favorite movies continue on with a sequel. Right up until you watch the sequel, then you can’t wait for the images to quickly deteriorate from your mind. Yet here I am happy as can be by the almost certain yes that The Princess Diaries series will continue with a third movie.

Now this may be completely pointless to some, but if you were a little girl growing up in the 2000’s (you know when Disney was still the bomb.com) it means everything!! I don’t care how many times people try to deny it, after seeing The Princess Diaries everyone was secretly hoping they were a princess to the European land of Genovia. Which to my dismay after googling found out was not a real country, thanks Disney.

Director Gary Marshall goes on to reveal in an interview done with People Magazine that Anne Hathaway (Princess Mia herself) is totally up for reprising her role. Meaning Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi Queen of Genovia is ready to claim her rightful place on the thrown.

Marshall goes on to tell People “I was with Anne Hathaway a couple weeks ago, it looks like we want to do Princess Diaries 3 in Manhattan.” But wait there’s more, he again goes on to say “Anne Hathaway is very pregnant, so we have to wait until she has the baby and then I think we’re going to do it.” Personally I would love to see the baby worked into the script somehow, because hey, every kingdom needs their heir.

The first two installments were based off of the young adult novels by Meg Cabot (which of course I read). It follows the life of ugly duckling Mia Thermopolis who find’s out she’s a Princess from her deceased father’s side. Of course she gets the whole makeover and fake friends…. you know the rest, and if you don’t then why are you still reading this? GOO WATCH THE MOVIE!!

Fun Fact: Shonda Rhimes (Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, How to get away with murder) helped co-write with Author Meg Cabot the script of Princess Diaries 2. Also Whitney Houston (Whitney Fricken Houston) helped produced. She also helped produce another one of Disney’s best original movies Cheetah Girls.

There’s still no word if any of the original cast members will be returning but fingers crossed. There’s no doubt I would want Monarch Clarisse (since she’s no longer Queen) Julie Andrews to come back.

I hate it when they change the actors of certain characters you’ve gotten accustomed of seeing play that role. They did it with Paige in the Prince and Me and Aunt Viv in Fresh Prince Of Bell Air. I mean really, they just thought we wouldn’t notice that Aunt Viv got 5 shades lighter and shorter.

Sorry I digress, back to what I was saying, right same cast members. I’d love to see the original cast again. That includes; Joe, Lily, Palo, Prime Minister Motaz, Mia’s Mom, that one teacher guy that marries Mia’s mom.

Also don’t think I forgot about Chris Pine A.K.A Prince Nicholas.

Pine hinted at the thought of coming back in a interview done earlier this year with EW.com. When asked if he’d ever consider coming back to the franchise?  Pine replies “have you been reading my diaries.” Hopefully he returns, when the second movie ended Nicholas and Mia looked pretty happy together. It seemed that he had no problem with being the boyfriend of a boss ass Queen.

So are you excited as I am to see Princess Mia and the royal squad comeback? If so, would you be okay will different actors or want the original cast? What about a baby, leave your comments and thoughts down below.

To end it only seems fitting to let the words of the Genovian anthem brings us home.

“Genovia the land I call my home. Something, something, something, something, soooomethingggg pear tree.”
